RUST COLOR WALL HANGING : BRAND NEW - Authentic hand made quilted & ornately embroidered with mirrors & thread this wall hanging has been painstakingly made by village women artisans in India. Rich & flamboyant combination of bright earth tones this patchwork tapestry is made using swatches of cotton fabric cut into geometric shapes. Each swatch is then delicately embroidered by hand using colorful; thread that hold tiny round mirrors in the centre. All these swatches are held together with lovely corded stitches that add to the beauty of the piece.with proper lighting the mirrors glitter making a spectacular focal piece in the room. I've a similar one hung up in my room on a tapestry rod with tassles hanging from each side. You could do the same or you could put it up directly on the wall or even frame it.

It is made using swatches of old heirloom worthy tribal bridal wear worn by women in Gujarat & Rajasthan regions of India. As a result what you see is a beautiful collage of multi-colored hand embroidery embellished with mirrors. All these swatches are held together with lovely corded stitches that add to the beauty of the piece. The elegance of this piece is in the antique look that it gets from the bridal wear fabric swatches that show the slight imperfections of age that sits charmingly on them.
The tapestry measures 38 ˝ inches x 57 ˝ inches.
You can hang it vertically or horizontally. With a little ingenuity you could greatly enhance the beauty of this wall décor by hanging it on a tapestry rod with tassles on both sides.
This tapestry though brand new has a slight rip on the lining on the backside which we did not notice when we bought it. However, this does not in any way affect it.
